Hawaii’s Maui Maria Lanakila Catholic Church - Survives worse fire within a Century

Hawaii’s Maui Maria Lanakila Catholic church built in 1846 still stands as fire rips through the island. Maria Lanakila, means Our Lady of Victory. Palm Trees close by the church have been damaged by fire and the roof of the church has minimal fire damage. For some this is a modern day miracle. Hawaii’s fire is the deadliest fire in the United States in over a century. The buildings right across the street from the church were burnt to the ground.
